Many of you have received a letter regarding Magnet transportation next year. It is a SURVEY, just checking to see how using the nearest school as your child's bus stop might impact you. The message from the office of transportation is the following:
"A decision has been made to leave the current magnet transportation system in place, without change, for the 2011-2012 school year. For those households with students meeting current transportation eligibility requirements, your response is still needed as it will provide baseline data on the impact of transitioning from the current level of service to a Magnet Hub System. Again, I encourage your support in completing and returning the survey form in the letter you recently received. Thank you for your assistance as we face unprecedented budget constraints while doing our best to provide a world class academic environment benefitting all AISD students."
So, please mail or bring your response to the survey to the Magnet office, but rest assured that any changes for the upcoming year will take place only after considering the input our families provide.
